About Who's Who in Carmel Publisher Tom Bess

“After working for 25 years in the hospitality industry, I decided to branch out and run my own business,” Publisher of Who’s Who in Carmel magazine Tom Bess states. “I have known Daniel Stephens, publisher of Who’s Who in Huntsville magazine, for 17 years and saw how successful the Huntsville publication was and realized there was a need for a Who’s Who in the Carmel area.”

Tom’s background in hospitality brings a wealth of expertise to his clients. “This opportunity opens the doors for me to showcase all the professional people and their businesses,” he explains. “This is a great way to get the word out about these businesses right here in Carmel.”

Tom has lived in the Carmel area for the last 12 years and loves the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, local theater, music, camping, biking, golfing, and hiking. In addition, he’s a member of the Carmel Chamber of Commerce and he supports the Indianapolis Humane Society, the Juvenile Diabetes organization, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Breast Cancer, and the Alzheimer Association.

About America's Own Who's Who

Daniel Stephens, Founder of America’s Own Who’s Who, started the company in 1999 to promote his furniture store. His idea was to create a way for him and other business owners in the area to be able to advertise and "tell their story" through print media. In the fall of 2000, Stephens published Who’s Who in Huntsville magazine with information on his furniture store, as well as many other local businesses. The first week the magazine was out; his furniture store sold more than $15,000 in furniture and gift items! The other businesses experienced similar results and the magazine became a huge success! Stephens decided to dedicate himself full time to the magazine.

Who’s Who in Huntsville is an elite, semiannual, full color magazine designed to provide both residents and visitors with information and profiles on the community’s leading individuals and businesses. As a promotional venue, we highlight the multiple accomplishments of these members, who have become in one way or another, key elements to this area’s economic and social growth. With two annual issues, Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter, each issue is bulk mailed to 15,000 homes in the Huntsville/Madison area.
